Holidays by train to Switzerland are extremely scenic and there's a lovely range of scenery to appreciate as the train passes through charming villages nestled in deep valleys and forests, before ascending into flowering alpine meadows, eventually turning into rugged mountains surrounded by snow-covered embankments and icy glaciers.

For spectacular views of the Alps, train holidays are the ideal way to find the most remote and scenic landscapes in the area whilst also providing access to the charming traditional towns and popular resorts. There are a selection of trains that are used on our tours, from high-speed services like the Eurostar to traditional locomotives and trains like the famous Glacier Express, which follows one of the most visually stunning routes in the Swiss Alps.
