Discover a wonderful selection of cities on a tour that takes in some of Tuscany's most iconic sights. From Florence to Pisa to Siena, this is a tour that really shows the amazing essence of Tuscany.
You meet your group at Rail Discoveries' dedicated Departure Office today, leaving London St Pancras International on the Eurostar for Paris. From here, you transfer to Turin, where you overnight. After breakfast on Day 2, continue onwards by rail to Montecatini, where you check into your hotel.
Today you head to the gorgeous Renaissance city of Florence. Enjoy roaming the streets of this bastion of history, discovering the labyrinthine streets and incredible buildings that have inspired generations of artists. Visit the vast Duomo, whose characteristic orange dome is an icon of the Florentine skyline, as well as the unique 14th century Ponte Vecchio bridge that is filled with a number of delightful shops. On Day 4, you are at leisure to continue exploring Montecatini.
You continue your exploration of beautiful Tuscany today by taking the train to Lucca, one of Tuscany's most beautiful hidden gems. A walled city that encloses fabulous examples of Roman and medieval buildings, this place is still fairly cut off from the tourist crowd and an utter delight to explore. You then head to Pisa, where you find the famous Leaning Tower. There is plenty of time here to discover the Old Town and the Field of Miracles. Day 6 is at leisure.
Your excursion today is to Siena, where you take a guided tour. The centre of Siena has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for good reason. The magnificent Piazza del Campo is surrounded by ancient buildings and crowned by the Torre del Mangia, a tower built in the 14th century and the curved shell-shape of this special 'piazza' make it the perfect place to stop for a while at one of the many pavement cafes to admire the beauty on display.
Bid farewell to Tuscany today, as you travel towards charming Chambery by rail, where you overnight. After breakfast on Day 9, you board the train and head to Paris where you connect with the Eurostar back to London.
