Day 4 - Florence
Head to the Renaissance city of Florence for a guided tour,
joining a local guide to wander the narrow, twisting streets and
admire buildings which have inspired generations of artists. Visit
the striking Duomo, whose characteristic terracotta dome is an icon
of the Florentine skyline. The jewel in the city's crown, the
cathedral dates back to 393 AD. You will also see the unique
14th-century Ponte Vecchio, or 'Old Bridge', filled with jewellery
and goldsmith shops. Afterwards, there's free time to climb the 414
steps of Giotto's Campanile, for incredible views across the
rooftops. Alternatively, you could pre-book a visit to one of
Florence's art galleries and museums - world-renowned Uffizi being
one of the most popular.
