Day 3 - Kamloops

Kamloops
Day 4 - To Banff

Today, you continue by coach to Revelstoke, where you have some time at leisure to enjoy lunch. You continue to Banff this afternoon on a scenic drive, passing through yet more of Canada's incredible panoramas. This evening you meet a retired member of The Royal Canadian Mounted Police - or 'Mountie' as they're colloquially known - where you enjoy a fascinating talk and then chance for a photo.

Waterfowl Lake, Banff National Park
Day 5 - Banff & Lake Louise

Experience the beauty of Banff today. First explore Lake Louise, a glacier-fed lake surrounded by soaring peaks and dense pine forests. Continue to the Spiral Tunnels. This ingenious piece of railway track is an incredible feat of engineering, allowing trains to traverse the steep, mountainous terrain via 2 looping tunnels. If you're lucky, you may see a train snaking through the tunnels - a marvellous sight. Next, see Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. Emerald Lake is known for its fantastic colours, and with free time to enjoy the sights, now might be a great time to practice your photography skills.

Yoho National Park
Day 6 - The Icefields Parkway

Travel by coach along the famous Icefields Parkway, a 144-mile road that links Lake Louise with Jasper and cuts through some of the world's greatest mountain scenery. You arrive at the Columbia Icefields Discovery Centre at the foot of the vast Columbia Icefield. Take the time to marvel at the Athabasca Glacier, with some free time. Continue past many of the highest peaks in the Rockies, pausing at scenic spots including Athabasca Falls. Continue to Jasper for the night.

Athabasca Falls
Days 7-9 - On board The Canadian

You are at leisure on Day 7 in Jasper, before you board The Canadian in the early afternoon for an iconic journey across the country. Your on-board accommodation consists of a cosy berth shielded by a heavy curtain for privacy, and access to shared bathroom facilities in the same sleeper car. During certain times of the day, wander to one of the observation cars for incredible views of the spectacular Canadian landscape the train passes through Jasper National Park.

You spend your first full day on board The Canadian on Day 8. As you cross the vast Canadian landscapes, take the time to watch the world roll by the windows, absorbing the mesmerising scenery Canada is rightly famous for. All meals are served during your time on board, featuring cuisine that takes influence from the regions you pass through.

On Day 9, your journey on The Canadian continues as you travel to bustling Toronto. This evening, settle in for your final night on board this iconic train. Perhaps take a final seat in one of the observation carriages to admire the night sky above you, as the train ploughs on.

Your evening is at leisure to discover this incredible, multicultural city.

Day 11 - Niagara Falls

This morning, travel to the US-Canadian border to see the incredible Niagara Falls, a stunning natural spectacle. You enjoy an exciting boat cruise through the dramatic mists that form at the base of the falls, allowing for up-close views of the thundering waters. Pause at Table Rock viewpoint before continuing to Niagara Gorge to see the natural whirlpool that formed here thousands of years ago. Later, return to Toronto.
