Days 1-2 Falkland Palace

To the Highlands

Meet your tour manager in Edinburgh today, where you overnight. On Day 2, board a coach to begin your journey to Perth. On your way, stop by Cullross, a quaint town that is used in the TV series 'Outlander' and is filled with cobbled streets, before continuing on to Falkland Palace. Transfer then to Perth station, where you travel to your final destination of the day. On arrival in Newtonmore, continue to your hotel. After dinner this evening, enjoy some traditional Scottish entertainment in the form of a Ceilidh.

Day 3 Eilean Donan Castle

Eilean Donan Castle

Today, travel to Inverness, where you board the Kyle Line to Kyle of Lochalsh. Here, you visit the incredible Eilean Donan Castle, located on an island at the confluence of two rivers. You have some time here to explore before you take a coach back to Inverness, stopping at Loch Ness for a quick photo opportunity.

Day 4 Cairngorm Mountain Railway

Aviemore

Visit the tiny highland town of Aviemore today, located within the breathtaking Cairngorm National Park. Here, you enjoy a trip up Cairngorm Mountain on the UK's only funicular railway, stopping for some time at the Ptarmigan Summit Station, from where there are spectacular panoramic views that stretch over the surrounding mountains. Newtonmore Highland Museum is your next destination, a quaint replica of an old highland village, where you learn about lives of highlanders in the past.

Day 5 Culloden Monument
Culloden Monument

Culloden and Tomatin Distillery

Your first destination today is the Tomatin Distillery, where you learn about traditional Scottish Whisky, and perhaps try a wee dram. From here, continue to Culloden, the infamous battlefield where the Scottish Jacobite army fought the British Loyalists.

Day 6 Edinburgh

Return home

After breakfast, transfer to Aviemore station and take the train back to Edinburgh, where your tour ends.
