You have the chance to explore this history further on Day 2, with a guided tour of Stratford. This tour includes Nash's House and the Church of the Holy Trinity, where famed author and play write William Shakespeare is buried.
Today you embark on your first railway journey of the tour with a round trip on the Severn Valley Railway. Depart from Kidderminster and enjoy the ride to Arley and back.
This afternoon, you venture to Warwick Castle, an interactive museum based in a castle that has stood in one form or another since 1068. A guided tour is included, and afterwards perhaps take this time to explore the castle walls, on the top of which the countryside of Warwickshire spreads out before you, or explore the myriad of beautiful gardens that are beautiful at all times of the year.
Christmas Day is dedicated to food and relaxation. After breakfast, you are free to explore beautiful Stratford further before a delicious Christmas lunch. Your afternoon is also at leisure, and this evening there is a light buffet supper on offer.
On Boxing Day, embark on a journey on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway, taking you on an enthralling journey through the idyllic Cotswolds to Cheltenham. On board, indulge in a nip of sherry to ward of the winter chill, and a mince pie. After returning to Stratford, enjoy a final afternoon at leisure, before dinner this evening.
After breakfast on Day 6, the tour ends, and you are free to depart.
