Your tour begins with a flight to Lisbon, Portugal's vibrant capital. This hilly city is peppered with colour, from its terracotta roofs and white-washed walls, to the bright yellow trams that meander through the bustling streets, all of which you take in on a guided tour on Day 2. After exploring the city, your tour concludes at the historic Pastéis de Belém bakery, which has been producing traditional Portuguese treats since 1837.

Excursion to Sintra

With its UNESCO World Heritage status, Sintra is a delightful village nestled at the foothills of the Sintra Mountains, dotted with royal palaces, just outside of Lisbon. On your excursion today, you are at leisure to explore Sintra's charms, enjoying the scenic town Lord Byron immortalised in his famous poem, 'Childe Harold's Pilgrimage.'

Day 4

To Madeira

Today the tour continues to Madeira. Take a scheduled flight from Lisbon to Funchal, Madeira's capital, where this afternoon you are treated to a guided walking tour of the city.
