New Year on the Danube

You meet your Tour Manager this morning at our Departure Office in London St Pancras, where you board the Eurostar to Brussels. You continue to Nuremberg via Cologne, where you stay for the night.

After a free morning in Nuremberg, continue to Passau, a picturesque town in Lower Bavaria. Also known as the 'City of 3 Rivers', Passau lies at the confluence of the Inn, the Ilz, and the Danube. Board the coach to your hotel for the next 4 nights and after checking in, we enjoy dinner.

Embark on a guided tour of Passau this morning, exploring the historic buildings of this peninsular city. Later, you board your ship and cruise along the Danube Valley past lush green hills and idyllic hamlets.

Upon your return you have the rest of the day to yourself in Passau. Why not take the opportunity to explore the cobbled streets of the Old Town, known for its impressive 17th-century Baroque architecture and distinctive St. Stephen's Cathedral?

Spend the New Year's Eve in Passau, exploring at your own pace. This evening, enjoy a gala 7-course dinner accompanied by Champagne at Oberhaus Restaurant, followed by traditional Bavarian music and dancing.

Today's excursion takes you by coach into the unspoilt Bavarian forest, a remarkable area of sparkling lakes and seemingly endless woodland, and Germany's first national park. Here, you experience a guided walk along the world's biggest treetop path, an amazing series of elevated wooden walkways that offer an incredible opportunity to appreciate nature from a different perspective.

After breakfast this morning, you bid farewell to Passau, travelling by rail to Cologne, where you enjoy a farewell dinner together tonight. After some time to explore Cologne independently on Day 7, you travel to Brussels, where you connect with the Eurostar service to London.
