Day 1

Fly to Warsaw

Board your flight to Warsaw, checking into the Novotel Warszawa Centrum Hotel for two nights.

Day 2

Discovering Warsaw

Explore Warsaw's Old Town on a guided tour today. You will see Castle Square and the Royal Castle, which was rebuilt and restored following its destructions in World War II, and King Sigismund's Column, who declared Warsaw as Poland's capital in 1596. Your afternoon is then at leisure to continue sightseeing.

Days 3-4

To Krakow

Travel by rail to Krakow, Poland's former capital. Enjoy a guided tour on arrival; Krakow boasts an equally impressive Royal heritage, such as Wawel Hill, crowned by the Wawel Palace and former Royal Route, lined with incredible architecture. Day 4 is at leisure in this splendid city.

Day 5


Today there is an excursion to nearby AuschwitzBirkenau*. A potent symbol of the Holocaust, this concentration camp has been left largely unchanged since its liberation in 1945.

Days 6-8

Zakopane and Home

Bid Krakow farewell as you travel by coach into the Tatra Mountains. Make your way to Zakopane, where on Day 7 there is an included walking tour as well as a ride on the Gubałówka Hill funicular railway. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant, accompanied by music. On Day 8, transfer by coach to Krakow airport for your flight back to the UK.
