Meet in Inverness & MV Lord of the Highlands

Following your individual travel to Inverness or Aviemore, your Tour Manager meets you at our hotel. On the morning of Day 2, transfer to Inverness station, where we board the train for a journey on the Kyle Line to Kyle of Lochalsh. Here, your Tour Manager bids you farewell, and you board the luxury MV Lord of the Highlands. After settling in, enjoy a welcome reception and a three-course dinner on board.

Day 3 Eilean Donan Castle
Eilean Donan Castle

The Isle of Skye

Enjoy a morning visit to Eilean Donan Castle before continuing to the picturesque village of Plockton. From here, sail to Armadale, then visit the Clan Donald Centre and Gardens, before cruising to the town of Inverie, where you moor for the night.

Day 4 Tobermory


This morning, sail around Ardnamurchan Point and into the Sound of Mull. Moor in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. This lovely little fishing port is famed for its brightly coloured houses.

Days 5-6 Iona

Iona & West Highland Line

Cruise along the Isle of Mull to Craignure today and enjoy an excursion to the hidden and beautiful Isle of Iona. Later the ship takes you to Oban. Here, there's time to photograph Duart Castle. On Day 6, cruise across Loch Linnhe to Corpach. This afternoon, ride the West Highland line to Glenfinnan. Tonight, you moor at Corpach.

Days 7-8 Loch Ness

Neptune’s Staircase

Experience Neptune's Staircase today before arriving at Fort Augustus. Loch Ness is your destination on Day 8, as well as the battlefield of Culloden. Visit the ancient standing stones of the Clava Cairns afterwards. This evening there's a farewell reception and dinner on board, spending the night moored in Inverness.

Day 9 Inverness

Departing Inverness

After breakfast on board, disembark in Inverness where you are free to make your homeward journey.

On many of our UK & Ireland tours, you may check in at the first hotel on your itinerary anytime after 14:00; your Tour Manager will be available between 16:00 and 18:00. However, if you are arriving later, you can meet your Tour Manager before dinner from 19:00.
