The Queen Mary, Long Beach
Our base in Long Beach is the Queen Mary, who made her maiden voyage in 1936 and went on to become one of the world's most famous ocean liners. The ship has been moored in Long Beach for over 40 years, and has been welcoming hotel guests since 1972. Prior to this, the Queen Mary had a long and illustrious history as a luxurious transatlantic liner for Cunard White Star Line, a Second World War troop ship, a Mediterranean cruise ship. Today the Queen Mary offers its guests a selection of restaurants and bars, boutiques and shops, a fitness room and a spa, as well as the opportunity to take a guided tour of the ship. Complete with original 1930s art deco features and wood panelling, the staterooms are all completely individual in their design and layout and come with modern amenities such as flat screen televisions and iPod clock radios.
