West Highland Line

Renowned for the beautiful views it offers, the West Highland Line runs from Glasgow's Queen Street Station to Mallaig and Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. Easily one of the most scenic routes in Britain, the line was voted the 'Top Rail Journey in the World' by readers of Wanderlust Magazine in 2009 and 2010. Highlights of the beautiful West Highland Line include the Clyde Estuary, Ben Lomond and also the Falls of Falloch.

“The tour apart from a problem with a Scotrail train was good despite inclement weather. Food at BW Crianlarich was excellent as were the staff made us all very welcome I’d give it 5 stars . Jacobite Train trip excellent despite the Scotch mist , also the Loch Lomond trip, and our coach Driver Brian was excellent. Last but not least our tour guide Gareth was excellent throughout the trip. In short a really good holiday and thanks to all involved in making it so. Regards Ian Whitfield

“A well organized trip with an exceptional tour manager. Plenty of interesting places to see along with amazing scenery. Hotels stays were very comfortable excluding the Murcure in Edinburgh. Several issues with the lift and plumbing. The walk from the station was prolonged and difficult. Otherwise a fantastic trip and thoroughly enjoyed.

“Lots of trains, some disappointments (beyond our tour manager's control). Rail strikes, broken funicular and Flying Scotsman shunt). But most trips salvaged and a good time was had.
