Days 1-2: London to Rome
We travel on the Eurostar from St Pancras International to Paris, where we join our onward train to Mulhouse. Here we stay at the 4* Mercure Mulhouse Centre. On Day 2 we continue through Switzerland and via Milan to Rome, Italy's bustling capital. Our base for three nights is the 3* Bettoja Hotel Nord Nuova Roma, and tonight we enjoy dinner together.

Days 3-4: Sightseeing in Rome
This morning we discover the ancient city of Rome on a guided walking tour, with sights including the Roman Forum and the Trevi Fountain. The rest of the day is free for you to explore; the mighty Colosseum should not be missed, and the Pantheon is also a highlight. Day 4 is at leisure for you to continue discovering the city. The ancient Sacra Via is fascinating to see, otherwise, why not visit the Vatican? Here you can admire St Peter's Basilica and the incredible Sistine Chapel.
Days 3-4: Breakfast
Days 5-6: Discovering Florence
We travel by direct train to the artistic city of Florence, and check in to the 4* Hotel Croce di Malta for a three-night stay. This afternoon we enjoy a guided walking tour of the city's main sights, including the 14th century Ponte Vecchio bridge, and the magnificent Duomo with its distinctive red-tiled dome. Following our tour, this evening we dine together in a local restaurant. Day 6 is free for you to continue exploring this picturesque city. About a fifth of the world's Renaissance art is on display in Florence, so be sure to visit one of the many galleries today. The famous Uffizi Gallery in particular is home to many masterpieces from iconic artists including Michelangelo.

Day 7: Pisa & Lucca
Our full-day excursion by rail takes us firstly to Pisa. Free time here allows you to marvel at the famous Leaning Tower, or discover the marble Baptistry. This afternoon we continue to the delightful walled city of Lucca, where you can discover the range of ancient ruins and medieval buildings.
Days 8-9: Exploring Venice
We travel by train to Venice today, where we check in to our base for two nights, the 4* Hotel Lugano Torretta in Venice Mestre. Later, we enjoy a tour of the floating city's sights, including the Basilica di San Marco, known as the 'Church of Gold' due to its glittering golden mosaics. Tonight we dine together in a Venetian restaurant. Day 9 is at leisure - perhaps see the city's famous canals with a ride in one of the gondolas, or visit the nearby island of Murano, famous for its glassmaking.

Days 10-11: To Turin & London
Today we travel by train to Turin, for an overnight stay. On Day 11 we travel to Paris for the Eurostar to London.
