  • Day 1 - Harrogate


    Meet up with your Tour manager and the rest of the group in Harrogate this afternoon to check in to your hotel for the next four nights. You then have some free time to start discovering this pretty Georgian spa town, enjoy a walk through the historic streets, famed for Betty's Tea Rooms and charming boutiques, or take a stroll through Valley Gardens. (Dinner)

  • Day 2 - The Harrogate Flower Show

    The highlight of your tour is today's visit to the spectacular Harrogate Flower Show at the Great Yorkshire Showground, voted Best Gardening Event in the UK 2013. Soak up the brightly coloured celebration of flowers, floristry and the art of flower arranging, with superb exhibitions, fascinating demonstrations and beautiful feature gardens at your own pace.

    Autumn departures visit the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show, which celebrates the harvest with flower exhibitions and vegetable growing competitions. Prizes are awarded for vegetables in many different categories.  (Breakfast, Dinner)

  • Day 3 - A day at leisure in Harrogate


    With a day at leisure, you could continue exploring Harrogate today with its famous Turkish baths and wonderful parks or, just outside the town centre is the RHS garden at Harlow Carr where you can enjoy a pleasant walk through the charming informal gardens. Alternatively, catch the local train to visit York, a beautiful city with Roman and Medieval architecture in abundance. Take a walk on the city walls and visit some of the main sights, such as the magnificent gothic Minster and the quaint Shambles. The National Railway Museum, with its collection of carriages and steam locomotives is another popular visitor attraction. (Breakfast, Dinner)

  • Day 4 - Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway

    Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway

    From the scenic town of Embsay, today take a ride on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway*, a heritage train that takes you through the picturesque scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and on to Bolton Abbey station. On a guided tour of the Priory, you will visit the atmospheric remains of Bolton Priory as well as its impressive current church. There is also time to explore pretty Bolton Abbey village, with its charming tea room and shops. (Breakfast, Dinner)

  • Day 5 - Homeward bound

    York station

    After breakfast, your Tour Manager bids you farewell and you are free to depart Harrogate in your own time. (Breakfast)
