Meet in Edinburgh

Meet your Tour Manager in Edinburgh today, where you are at leisure until dinner this evening. After breakfast on Day 2, embark on a guided tour of this historic city. This afternoon, you are at leisure.

To Glen Spean

Transfer to the station this morning, then take the train across Scotland to Glasgow on a delightfully scenic route that takes in the views of ever-changing panoramas. On arrival in Glasgow, begin your journey along the West Highland Line, one of the most renowned railway lines in the world for good reason. This line is incredibly beautiful, and you pass some truly spectacular sights, including wild and windswept Rannoch Moor. From Fort William, continue to Glen Spean for two nights.

The Jacobite

One of the highlights of your tour takes place today, with a journey along the West Highland Line aboard the Jacobite Steam Train*. The route, between Fort William and Mallaig, has one of the most iconic sights of the journey - the Glenfinnan Viaduct. The 21 spans of the Glenfinnan Viaduct blend wonderfully with the surrounding hills and valleys, making it seem like it was always meant to be part of the backdrop. After some free time in Mallaig, make the return trip back to Fort William.

Glen Ord Distillery & Lord of the Glens

Visit Aviemore today, a town in the shadow of the mighty Cairngorm Mountain. After some free time here, stop by the Glen Ord Distillery for a tour and a 'wee dram' of whisky. After breakfast on Day 6, you take the Kyle Line to Kyle of Lochalsh to board your ship, the MV Lord of the Glens.

Day 7 Eilean Donan Castle

The Isle of Skye

Enjoy a morning visit to Eilean Donan Castle before continuing to the picturesque village of Plockton. From here, sail to Armadale, then visit the Clan Donald Centre and Gardens, before cruising to the town of Inverie, where you moor for the night.

Day 8 Tobermory


This morning, sail around Ardnamurchan Point and into the Sound of Mull. Moor in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. This lovely little fishing port is famed for its brightly coloured houses.

Days 9-10 Iona

Iona & West Highland Line

Cruise along the Isle of Mull to Craignure today and enjoy an excursion to the hidden and beautiful Isle of Iona. Later the ship takes you to Oban. Here, there's time to photograph Duart Castle. On Day 10, cruise across Loch Linnhe to Corpach. This afternoon, ride the West Highland line to Glenfinnan.

Neptune’s Staircase

Experience Neptune's Staircase today before arriving at Fort Augustus. Loch Ness is your destination on Day 12, as well as the battlefield of Culloden. Visit the ancient standing stones of the Clava Cairns afterwards. This evening there's a farewell reception and dinner on board, spending the night moored in Inverness.

Day 13 Inverness

Departing Inverness

After breakfast on board, disembark in Inverness where you are free to make your homeward journey.
