Day 3 – Unspoilt Broadway and the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway to elegant Cheltenham
After breakfast, your coach takes you to Broadway this morning.
A pretty village named the 'Jewel of the Cotswolds', you have some
time at leisure to discover its lovely High Street. Admire the
horse chestnut trees and spot the mixture of period houses and
picturesque Cotswold stone cottages. Your group then heads to the
station to board the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. The
atmospheric journey through the countryside showcases some
spectacular scenery and views of the Vale of Evesham on the way to
Cheltenham.
You're at leisure over lunchtime in the delightful spa town.
Known for its heritage and architecture, you could join a walking
tour to see Cheltenham's most interesting buildings and monuments.
Or, you could seek out one of the many beautiful parks in the town
and spend the afternoon relaxing. There's also a wide choice of
popular cafes, restaurants and street food where you can enjoy
lunch. Later in the afternoon, your coach takes you back to your
hotel where you have some time before dinner this evening.
Trains are steam-hauled where possible, however due to
timetable changes or weather conditions, heritage diesel
locomotives may be running instead.
