“A beautiful area to visit, lovely market towns like Buxton and Bakewell (and the yummy Bakewell Pudding), historic houses and heritage railways. We travelled on a Rail Discoveries tour which was excellent, all trips included and a great tour manager to ensure it went without a hitch.

At the heart of our short breaks in Europe is a range of excursions, designed to introduce you to the most significant natural, cultural, and historical attractions that a destination has to offer. These might be a journey on a heritage railway, a visit to a national park, or a guided tour of a city centre.

Local guides sometimes join our excursions to give you an even richer experience on your short break, sharing their intimate knowledge of an area or suggesting unique places to visit. However, our guides and Tour Managers are not there to tell you how to enjoy your holiday; you are free to explore independently, if you wish.

We choose our accommodation based on the quality of facilities and the value for money offered, as well as the hotel's proximity to nearby attractions and the local train station. Local families run many of our European hotels as we find they offer a more personal, friendly atmosphere to our guests.

The services of one of our professional Tour Managers are included in the price of your holiday to ensure that your time in Europe is as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
