Itinerary
Meet your Tour Manager and the rest of your group at London St Pancras this morning and board the Eurostar to Brussels. We continue from Brussels by rail, via Cologne, to Ulm, then transfer by coach to Langenau. Originally a Roman settlement, Langenau is one of the largest towns in the Alb-Donau region of southern Germany and sits in the shadow of the impressive Swabian Alb mountain range. We arrive in the evening and check in for a stay of seven nights.
A three course dinner with selected wine, beer and soft drinks will be served tonight and each night of your holiday.

A super well organised trip, the tour manager was excellent. He kept us well informed, suggested things to visit and do on the free days, and provided info sheets plus street maps wherever we went. Hotel and meals, great. Free days; there is plenty to do in the area near and far. The second day is good to be free to relax , wander or explore, after a busy travelling day out to Langenau. (Didn't see a single pothole on German roads !!)

Too many platform changes with lost time, on many of the travel days. Base location Hotel small, very clean, but meant having to travel to Ulm for each rail journey. No lounge at the hotel, making socialising as a group difficult. Had to pay a single supplement , but my single room was tiny, with a 2foot 6inch cabin bed. Hotel food was adequate. I felt there were too many days at leisure, in a very small village location. The group of 38 was too large, making all transfers slow, and hearing instructions within the group became very difficult. The tour manager changed timings too often.
